Meet the Artist

It’s with great joy that we welcome Tavo Castillo to the ICAROS Medicine Music Festival 2026.

With more than four decades of musical exploration, Tavo Castillo is a composer and multi-instrumentalist whose path bridges tradition, memory and contemporary expression. A founding member of Frágil, one of Peru’s most influential progressive rock bands, his work has marked generations and continues to evolve.

In his solo project Apus del alma, Tavo Castillo dives into a deeply personal and ancestral soundscape, where flutes, synthesizers and acoustic instruments coexist, creating music that preserves memory while opening space for emotional and spiritual exploration.
